Where Curriculum Meets Podcasting Skills

Your Podclass is designed to build confidence and communications skills using the techniques used by podcasters and professional broadcasters all around the world.

In doing so it encompasses key elements of the curriculum for young people from KS1 to school leaving age.

Building confidence in communicating with peers and classmates, to preparing older students for a world of work or achievement in further education.

You Podcast is a workshop with a focus on confidence building that also includes:

  • English: Reading and writing (Scripting)

  • Art & Design (Podcast Artwork)

  • Maths (Timings of podcasts; timings of interviews.)

  • Music (Finding what music works with the show: BPMs; genre; fading.)

  • Computing (Editing; learning different software)

  • Relationships (Working together; researching for interviews; learning co-hosting)

These are only some of the skills where podcasting techniques sit side-by-side with curriculum subjects. Before each booking I discuss with you the topics you are learning with your young people and what style of workshop will benefit you and them the most.

Have a look at some of the things we can cover when you book Your Podclass...
